Tournament #6 July 15, 2006
Mississippi River Pool 19
This day can be well described in one word, HOT! The air temp was in the 90's as was the humidity. This combined with little wind made the day very uncomfortable for the anglers. On the upside the fishing was hot as well as can be seen by all the limits brought to the scales. Nearly the entire field headed down river toward Fort Madison and the grass flats beyond after take-off. This tournament was won by Fasananh Phosy from Mt. Pleasant, IA. He fished around Fort Madison and Montrose and caught his fish on brush hawgs, frogs, and spinnerbaits. He brought in a nice sack weighing 15.26lbs. Second place was claimed by Scott Seager with 14.26lbs. His fish were caught early with a buzzbait and frog around the Motrose area. Later in the day he pulled out and caught fish deeper with a carolina rig. Dan Goeke took third place fished around Fort Madison and caught all
of his fish with plastics. His sack weighed 13.74lbs. Thanks again to the sponsors: Burlington Area Convention and Tourism Bureau, Strictly Bass Lures, Navionics, Davenport Boat & Marine, Gander Mountain, Lowrance, Airrus Rods, V&M, Angler's Advantage Insurance, Motorguide, Mercury Marine, Triton Boats, Abu Garcia, Hooah Energy Bars, Rejuvenade, and Secret Weapon. Also, thanks to everyone who came out for this tournament.
From L to R: 3rd & BB, Dan Goeke; 1st, Fasananh Phosy; 2nd Scott Seager
