On June 11, District 46 had its first pool 17 event of the year. Visitor, Roger Ward, dominated the day with a limit of fish that weighed 14.00 lbs.  Anchored by a 4.25 lbs Big Bass, Roger's final weight was 13.75 lbs after a dead fish penalty.  When asked what his secret was he simply said, “I fished Boston Bay with a beaver.”   We’re not sure if that’s secret code for something, but it worked on this cloudy, cool day.

Second place was taken by another visitor.  Tim Kipling brought in a 12.38 lbs limit, anchored by a 4.07 larry.  He noted fishing backwater areas on pool 17 with senkos, beavers, and crankbaits.

Third place was taken with 4 fish for 7.75 lbs by Roger Koopman.  Roger fished “the breaks” and other backwater areas, but just didn’t get that one big bite.  He’d like to thank his sponsors Gambler Boats, Pine Point Resort, and Auto Trim and Signs.
