Mississippi River Pool 19

The day began cold and rainy and it did not really improve throughout the day. Typical of late fall tournaments the turnout was light and the fishing was tough as it has been for the last couple of weeks. Two anglers found keepers while the rest of the field found nothing but short fish.

First place was taken by Rob Bartholomew from Ft. Madison, IA with 3 fish weighing 6.51 lbs an he also claimed the Big Bass prize with a largemouth weighing 2.49lbs. His fish were all caught on wood in the lower part of the pool.

Second place went to Jim Kent with 2 fish weighing 3.65lbs.

Please join us in April for the remainder of the 2007 season. Large fields, great fishing and lots of fun will surely be ours again as it was this past spring.
