This tournament was a hot one both fishing and weather wise. The sun and humidity came out for the first time this year and several anglers realized they had gotten soft over the winter and felt the effects of the heat. Even with the weather we had a great turn out and good number of fish were brought to the scales.

Topping the field was Chase Gillette with a good limit weighing 13.54lbs. He targeted weed points where he tossed a frog into the deer tongue weeds. Chase is sponsored by Plano Molding Company.

The runner-up spot went to Rocco Marrari with 11.73lbs. He was fishing main river rip-rap with a shakey head worm. Rocco is sponsored by Ted's Boatarama, Kisler Rods, X-point hooks, Nitro Boats, Mercury, Cyclone Baits, & V&M Baits.

Scott Ford took 3rd place with 10.67lbs. Scott fished points with spinnerbaits and crankbaits. He is sponsored by Skeeter Boats, Grace Marine, & TackleWarehouse.com.

Big Bass of the event went to Randy Price with a 4 pounder.
