The weather was mild and sunny for this tournament.
Twenty-one teams brought in fifteen limits of bass proving the flooding
did not hurt this great pool to a large degree. There are still large
numbers of fish even though the larger bass seem harder to find.
The top of the heap at the end of the day was the
team of Tom Schultz and Greg Lewis with 14.74 lbs. This was their first
tournament with us and they put the division on notice that they will be
a team to be reckoned with. Tom and Greg ran up the pool and caught
their fish on fallen wood on a variety of lures.
In second place were Gary Teel and Jim Aercke with
14.01 lbs. Wade Jones and Tim Miller followed closely behind with 13.92
lbs for third place.
Thank you to Captain Kirk's Marina and the City of
Fort Madison for their hospitality for our weigh-in.
