Mississippi River Pool 19
August 30-31st, 2008

Great weather dominated this championship weekend while the fishing was off a little for the Mississippi River. The great anglers in this division still found a good number of fish and this made for an exciting weigh-in with no one running away from the field.

At the end of the weekend Rob Bartholomew topped the field with 9 bass weighing 17.44lbs. Bart found his fish holding on brush in Carthage Lake and nearly all fell for a slow-rolled spinnerbait.

Second place went to Roger Ward with 16.79lbs. He found he had to slow way down and the fish would bite a salt craw. Roger is sponsored by The Forum and West Pierce Liquors and in third place was Army team member, Steve McMillan, with 16.21lbs. Steve's fish were caught on a dead ringer worm.
